About Durba

As a dedicated History undergraduate from Jadavpur University, I have cultivated a profound passion for academic research, with a keen focus on postcolonial studies and literary history. My enthusiasm extends beyond research; I am deeply committed to teaching, aiming to share knowledge and foster intellectual curiosity in others. Additionally, I am also the editor of a student-led journal for the Social Sciences. I have maintained an SGPA of 9 through all my semesters, and I had scored 100% in Political Science and Psychology in my class 12 examinations, along with a 93% in History and 98% in English.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach centers on fostering deep understanding and conceptual clarity rather than rote learning. I employ active learning techniques like the Socratic method and interactive discussions, connecting concepts to real-world applications to enhance relevance. Tailored explanations cater to individual learning styles, encouraging curiosity and questions. Utilizing well-illustrated PowerPoints rich in visuals, structured content, and multimedia integration, I ensure engaging and effective sessions. Interactive elements and summary recaps reinforce learning, creating a dynamic environment where students develop a genuine love for learning and a robust grasp of the material.
