About Nadia
I’m a bioinformatics researcher developing next-generation vaccines to help future-proof New Zealand against pandemics.
In high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do after I graduated - what I wanted to do in life. But that all changed when my biology teacher encouraged me to join the NZ Biology Olympiad. That experience at the University of Otago sparked my curiosity for research, discovering things no one else knows yet.
Teaching is another passion of mine. I love helping students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.

About Me
I have been a professional private tutor for the past six years, teaching primarily high school and undergraduate students in both online and in-person settings. My tutoring sessions typically run for 1 to 1.5 hours and focus on reinforcing understanding through repeated practice, simplifying complex concepts, and developing effective strategies for excelling in exams and assignments.
High School Tutoring (NCEA Level 1–3)
I work with students aiming for Merit and Excellence in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics and Calculus
I also tutor non-NCEA students in these subjects.
Undergraduate Tutoring
I offer support for the following university papers and subjects:
- 100-level: Human Body Systems, Chemistry, and Cellular & Molecular Biology (Otago paper codes: HUBS191, HUBS192, CELS191, CHEM191, BIOC192)

Perfect! My son is doing HSFY at Otago. Having only done limited Chemistry in Year 13 NCEA, he was struggling with building on the basics. I found Nadia by chance through this app, and she has been a godsend! She is organized, patient, and a wealth of knowledge. Her communication is excellent and highly professional. After every lesson, she provides a thorough breakdown of what was covered, what to work on, homework, and what went well. She is super encouraging!
She also goes out of her way to help if you have questions in HUBS or CELS. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Nadia was recommended to me through a family friend and tutored me in NCEA Year 13 Calculus. She was super thorough in what I wished to get out of our sessions by setting goals and organising weekly online sessions from the first meeting. She is punctual, and communicates clearly if there may be a shift in schedule, but is otherwise very flexible.
