About Joshua
My name is Josh, I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from the University of Auckland. I am passionate about all things engineering which means I love to find real world uses for the classroom theories that can often seem arbitrary or pointless without context. I want to teach students to see the bigger picture of what they are learning and help them to understand all of the cool and engaging things that knowledge of Maths and Science allows them to do.

I try to explore different teaching techniques to find what works best for students understanding of the relevant material. I typically try to use examples of uses for theories to make content more engaging and so that the student can understand why they are learning them.
My teaching style typically involves working with students on practice problems side by side and creating strategies for approaching future problems so that the student can practice in their own time.
