My teaching approach is student-centered, built around the idea that learning should be engaging, encouraging, and empowering. I focus on the following key techniques:
Assessment-Based Instruction: I start by identifying each student's current level through informal assessments, conversations, or reviewing their schoolwork. This helps tailor the instruction to meet them where they are.
Scaffolded Learning: I break complex concepts into manageable steps, gradually removing support as the student builds confidence and competence.
Interactive and Multisensory Activities: Especially for younger learners, I incorporate visual aids, manipulatives (like blocks or counters in math), storytelling, and games to deepen understanding and retention.
Socratic Questioning: I ask guided questions to lead students to discover answers themselves, which helps develop critical thinking skills.
Positive Reinforcement: Encouragement and celebration of effort are key. I aim to create a safe space for mistakes so students aren’t afraid to try.
