About Eve
I am a young professional living in London. I have previously lived and worked in Madrid (in the music industry), and was a student at the Università di Bologna, where I focused on art history, Spanish and Italian literature, modern politics and history, and Italian linguistics. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2023 with a BA Hons in Spanish and Italian studies. Whilst this course allowed me to develop near-native fluency in both languages, it focused primarily on the culture and history of Italy, Spain and the Spanish-speaking world, including the current societal and political landscapes of these places. I love teaching others about both the languages I know, and the cultures from which they herald, and would love to pass on some of the knowledge I have!

I like to teach with a student-led approach. In other words, I will ask you what you hope to get from the lessons, and will then devise lessons tailored to your current level, and the level you want to get to, with a focus on grammar, understanding, and vocab, either for exam purposes, or to aid in general fluency. I have also studied Spanish and Latin American culture and history, including literature and art, which allows me to help with A-Level target texts if need be. Generally, I think it is best to keep lessons to 45 mins - an hour, otherwise comprehension and focus might not be at their optimal level. My lessons start with any queries from the last session (generally I'll ask students to complete 'homework', just a small number of questions based around the areas in which they hope to improve), and the beginning of the lesson will cover this. From there, I will identify any areas that need extra work, and use focus mainly on those during the rest of the lesson, and in future lessons as necessary.
