About Jarek

My professional career has been education centered. I have taught music lessons for the past 7 years both privately and professionally. In this setting, I have worked with individuals of all ages with various backgrounds. I graduated in May 2020 with my MA in French and have been teaching both music and french for a private institution for the past year. I have recently moved to Massachusetts and am working to obtain my state teaching license. French has always been a part of my life. I have some family that speaks it, have studied it consistently through school, and I want to continue to put it to use!

About the lesson

I like to ensure my lesson plans are diverse and focus on the core components of mastering a language : Reading, writing, listening, speaking, and culture. I aim to make our sessions very diverse and engaging. For example, to work on our reading skills, I find literature excerpts, newspaper clippings, reader's digests, etc. fun for practice and a bit more interesting that working out of a workbook. I have also taught from established curriculum such as Pearson, VHL, and Mcgraw-Hill if that is preferred.

My lessons are for anybody who is interested in learning and improving. My experience teaching for children and for a university have given me a diverse skill-set and have taught me different methods for accurately and efficiently communicating the subject material to all ages from all backgrounds. I look forward to getting to work with you!

Jarek was my son’s music teacher for five years. He is simply amazing! He taught my son both guitar and violin. He has an easy going demeanor, yet sets high goals for his students. I was most impressed when he taught my son to improvise and create his own music. Jarek teaches the basics of music theory while encouraging students to be creative. My son is 13 and he really enjoyed “jamming” with Jarek each week during their lessons. Jarek is reliable and consistent and a great communicator. We were definitely sad when we he moved to Boston. I highly recommend him as a music teacher!!
