About Miranda
I have transitioned into teaching after four years working in Human Resources. I can help with vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening at various levels. I can also provide guidance specific to business English. I think one of the best ways to have a successful teacher/student relationship is to set expectations as soon as we know we’re going to work together. I complete a Needs Analysis with each of my students to understand their likes and interests, as well as their learning goals, so that I can incorporate all of those things into each lesson. Planning my lessons using the information from the Needs Analysis helps ensure engaging and personalized lessons for each session with each student. I also create activities that help confirm students are understanding what they’re learning and get a feel for what it’s like using the new knowledge out in the real world.
