About Emily
I have been a long-time lover of literature since I was a child and I would love nothing more than to spread that love to you! From taking AP English Composition and AP Literature in high school to attending two pre-college creative writing boot camps at well-known art schools to finally getting my degree in Literature from SUNY Purchase -- I know I have a plethora of knowledge to offer. With the time I've spent in classes dedicated to the craft, it's hard to find a style of literature or writing I haven't at least tried to conquer. Let me sit down with you and help you find some meaning in the boring book you were assigned for school. Having worked with a lot of teenagers, I can say I've received a plethora of positive feedback regarding making material fun as well as interesting.

Sometimes students need a different perspective to understand the necessity of delving deep into a classic novel and I can help them find that! The student and I will have an initial diagnostic conversation to help us both understand their strengths and weaknesses as well as any school assignments they need assistance with. My education from an arts-focused college allows me to think outside the box and find more creative approaches to tackle boring curricula and assist with more creative-focused projects. I focus on primarily assisting students of middle school and high school age.
