About Emilee
I am a middle school teacher, with two years of experience! I teach in an unconventional way because I have the privilege of having the same kids all day. That means every subject too! I am well-versed to assist in math, reading, writing and research, studying tips, etc.
I take pride in my ability to teach math in a way that prioritizes comprehension and understanding, instead of just getting the right answer. Math has been a struggle for my students throughout their academic careers, but they have gained so much confidence. I would go as far as to say it’s their favorite subject, but it’s definitely close;)

Have you ever cried at the kitchen table while your dad is yelling at you to do simple math? Yeah, I’ve been there. Math used to be my least favorite subject, until I had a teacher completely change my perspective. They explained that the beauty of math is that there is always an answer. Math follows the rules, and once you understand those rules, it can be kind of fun. I teach the foundations of math in a way that breaks it down to better understand the processes. Instead of crossing your fingers and hoping you got it right this time, I teach how to have lasting knowledge to build your mathematical problem solving skills.
