About Joshua
I am a student at Newcastle university who is looking for a part-time job. I understand that maths isn't the easiest of subject as I also at some stage had a tutor when I was struggling. Therefore, through the experience I had with tutors I can vouch for how effective they really are. I went from struggling massively when I was younger to enjoying maths throughout the years. This is because sometimes the way it is taught doesn't cater for certain types of people. Therefore, I want to figure out how each student learns so I can cater for specific requirements and needs.

I have tutored maths at a GCSE level whilst I was studying for my A levels. I received an A in A-level mathematics and excelled in each mathematics module undertaken at university. I intend to use my experience from my years of education and tailor it to the needs of each student depending on which areas of maths need improving. I believe testing individuals (using previous past papers) before starting lessons is key to finding the areas which need to be improved upon. From here I will then plan lessons on what should be focused in the forthcoming weeks.
