About Julia
I love working and helping others in their educational endeavors or to just fulfill a desire one might have had a life time. I am a compassionate, understanding, and adaptive teacher who will desires for each student to succeed.
I have worked in the Roanoke Valley school districts for over 14 years, tutored ELL students in college for 11 years, and worked with adult learners obtaining their GED or alternate high school diploma option for 10 years and successfully assisted them in completion of their educational graduation, English speaking goals, and writing goals. I have a lot of wonderful experience working at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, along with college students. My goal as a teacher is to help my students excel in the classroom, while having fun! I want all of my students to enjoy learning while meeting their full potential.

A typical lesson plan depends on the student's current educational level, and I work from that point to enhance learning and comprehension skills. I am a very compassionate and encouraging teacher, who is willing to meet my students where they are at to help them succeed! I am able to assist students from grades K-12 and with college placement testing, college general education courses, and some majors. I also love working with adult learners who are trying to get their GED and ELL students to enhance their English language skills and/or obtain a high school diploma or GED.
