About Emily
I am a recent graduate of Drew University, looking to help other students with all-things English! I was an active member of several literary magazines and the school newspaper, with a strong understanding of advanced writing skills. On top of this, I have loved reading since I could first pick up a book! My favorite series is Harry Potter, and it's inspired me to encourage reading and the appreciation of it in others, with my belief that there's a book for everyone!

For my younger English students, I make reading and learning comprehension fun and hands-on! I believe reading is for everyone and with so many different genres to choose from and positive encouragement, I am confident I can make anyone excited to pick up a book!
For the older students, I specialize in American and British Literature and college-level essay writing, including editing college essays, final projects, and more. Helping them navigate the more difficult aspects of understanding a complicated novel is a process that with time and patience, is always possible!
Everytime I will meet with a student, whether it be the library or a coffee shop, they will walk with the understanding that with a little extra work, anything can be achieved :)
