I like to give students as much guidance as possible through problem sets. My guidance will involve building a stronger foundation in math and physics through the reiteration of fundamentals, even in higher level courses.
I do not like to assume that a student has knowledge where they "should" have knowledge. Often times in math and science courses teachers expect students to have a thorough knowledge of prerequisite courses but usually students forget things that they "should" know.
This is why I like to constantly reiterate foundational ideas and steps even while working out more complex problems.
