About Mekisha
I began tutoring in high school and continued through my years in college. Upon graduation, my first full-time position was as an Assistant Director for a tutoring center chain. While contemplating going back to school for a teaching degree, I substitute taught K-12 for several years. Presently, I have the privilege of continuing to teach by homeschooling my eighth grade son.

I approach each tutoring session as an opportunity to introduce a new concept, practice a concept to mastery, and/or review and reinforce previously mastered concepts.
I use patience and multiple learning techniques when teaching challenging lessons.
While I graduated high school as valedictorian and feel competent to tutor in most subjects, my main passion is teaching math and algebra to elementary and middle schoolers.
