About Amy
I hold a degree in Actuarial Science from Bayes Business School, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, finance, and problem-solving. Throughout my academic journey, I realised that my passion lies not just in understanding complex concepts, but in helping others make sense of them too. Teaching appeals to me because it combines my analytical mindset with my desire to make a positive impact. I believe education should be accessible, engaging, and empowering. I want to teach to share the practical value of mathematical thinking, to encourage curiosity, and to support students in building confidence in subjects that are often seen as intimidating. With my background, I aim to bring real-world relevance into the classroom—showing students how what they learn applies to industries like finance, insurance, and data analytics—and to create a learning environment where they feel motivated, supported, and challenged.
