About Sarah

I graduated at the top of my class and made the honors list. Currently, I’m in my residency year at a pediatric oncology hospital, where I’m gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the medical field. I’m also planning to pursue my master’s degree in the near future, which will allow me to further specialize and expand my expertise. With years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages, helping them succeed in their studies and build a strong understanding of complex subjects. My background in pharmacy and my clinical experience allow me to bring real-world insights to my lessons, making them relevant and practical. I’m dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and build their confidence in the subjects they’re passionate about.

I aced courses in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry. I’ve helped students of all levels master these challenging subjects by breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand ideas. I have a strong background in these areas and I know how overwhelming they can seem, which is why I focus on making them accessible. Through clear explanations and real-world examples, I help students see the connections between theoretical concepts and practical applications. Whether it’s understanding reaction mechanisms in Organic Chemistry, mastering lab techniques in Analytical Chemistry, or exploring the principles of drug action in Medicinal Chemistry, I guide students step-by-step to build their confidence and skills. My approach is to simplify even the most difficult topics, making learning both manageable and enjoyable. I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can excel in chemistry, and I’m here to make that happen!"

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My passion for science started early, driven by curiosity about how the body works and how chemical reactions happen in the lab bright colors and new products. While studying Clinical Pharmacy, I discovered how much I enjoyed explaining complex topics to classmates in simple, visual ways making studying somewhat enjoyable. Tutoring became a natural extension of that—turning learning into something fun, clear, and confidence-building for my students and the immense joy felt when they passed with high grades is worth all the effort.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach Chemistry (both General and Organic), Biology ,Pathophysiology, as well as standardized exams like DAT and PTCE. I especially enjoy helping students understand the “why” behind biological mechanisms so that they understand every word and not memorize blindly. I love discussing real-life applications—how chemistry connects to medicine and the environment. I also like explaining Organic chemistry mechanisms in a step wise approach so that they start to understand the flow of the reaction itself. I especially love when someone sends a request about a pharmacy course Medicinal, Analytical, Organic chemistry or Pharm D anything Clinical related because I loved my syllabus during my college years. The only part I like a bit less related to the subjects i teach is that they seem complex and students tend to doubt themselves—I always work to replace that doubt with confidence.
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, one of my university professors inspired me She’s called Dr Nermin Sabry by showing how passion can transform any classroom. She used real life examples kept adding new ways to teach and made me fall in love with Clinical pharmacy. Another professor Dr Ahmed Attia he explained Microbiology courses, never made us feel afraid of getting things wrong he encouraged questions and gave us alot of trial quizzes—He was very patient and helpful inside the lecture and outside. They both had definitely impacted and shaped how I teach today.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, adaptability, and clarity. A good tutor must explain concepts in different ways until the student truly understands. Creativity also matters—whether through analogies, diagrams, or mind maps—to make information memorable. And most importantly, empathy: understanding each student’s pace and challenges.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

Once, I helped a struggling student prepare for an Pathophysiology exam in just a few weeks. We were facing a time crunch with multiple dense topics, We broke the topics into small, visual mind maps and short quizzes each sessions to recap each time. She not only passed—she scored among the top in her class. That moment reinforced how personalized teaching can completely change a student’s confidence.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still face in your subject?

Science can seem intimidating at first because of its technical language and formulas. My challenge was learning to simplify without oversimplifying—translating complex processes into clear, relatable explanations. That’s something I now focus on when I teach.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

I’m passionate about education and creativity—combining science with visual learning. I enjoy creating PowerPoints, mind maps, and summary notes that make lessons engaging and easy to remember. Teaching gives me the chance to share that creativity while helping students reach their goals.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?

I truly care about my students’ understanding and progress. I tailor every lesson to their needs, create personalized materials, and celebrate every bit of improvement. I’m proud to make learning less stressful and more rewarding via Superprof website, I enjoy being up to date always retouching subjects with my student and getting to know diverse personalities from all over.
