About Rory
Hello! My name is Rory, I am an English tutor from Dundee, Scotland. I hold language degrees from the University of Dundee and Heriot-Watt University, and have been practising as a private tutor for over two decades. As a keen student of languages, I speak French, Spanish, German, and Russian and love to study how different languages work, and how different people find it easiest to learn. I have always had a particular passion for the English language, from literature to grammar, and helping others to find reasons to love the language gives me an immense sense of satisfaction. There is truly nothing I enjoy more than tutoring English, and I can't wait to get started together!

I have always thought that the best way to teach English is to try to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The more comfortable we are together, the easier it is to ask questions and to be open to learning. I am happy to help you work through any homework or coursework you have, or if you prefer I can provide worksheets, sample articles/sample writing, or any other material you require. Whatever you feel most comfortable with, we'll work together to find out what best suits you. I typically find that between 30 and 45 minutes is an ideal lesson length, as this allows us to go into depth without losing focus or spreading ourselves too thin. All lessons are welcome! I have taught ages from primary school to undergraduate; everyone deserves the chance to learn. I am looking forward to working with you!

Perfect! Very knowledgable and experience tutor. Being proficent in french spanish Rory understand li.mitations of non native english speakers and give them encouragement.also giving me various examples of how to convey my ideas in precise eloquent way in conversation
