About Sumner
I started off college as a neuroscience major but switched to biomedical engineering as I loved the problem solving side of it. Since graduating I now work at a technology firm that specializes in improving the efficiency of pharmaceutical companies through software solutions. However I have a deep passion for explaining complex topics and making stem subjects more accessible. I have vast tutoring experience so please feel free to ask me about my experiences.

My lessons are for everyone. STEM fields are often very daunting and students get in the mindset of being "not a math person" or "not good with science" but I am able to help them switch their mindset to have the confidence to grasp more difficult topics. I try to base lessons based on their class examples and homework as that is the most relevant content to their classes but am happy to make additional content. I am extremely patient am generally good and finding different ways of explaining an idea until its something the student can grasp.
