About Jan
I am a UK engineering graduate currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering in Barcelona and I have always enjoyed working with people and supporting others in developing their skills. I have lived and worked in multicultural environments, which has given me a strong understanding of how language barriers affect confidence. I am fluent in both English and Polish and I know what it feels like to learn a language from scratch, as I am currently learning Spanish myself. I bring patience, clarity, and encouragement to every lesson, and I always aim to make students feel relaxed, supported and motivated to improve.

My lessons are focused on building natural, confident communication in English through conversation, practical exercises and personalised guidance. I teach students of all ages and levels, adapting the pace and style of each lesson to what helps them feel most comfortable. A typical class lasts between 30 and 60 minutes and combines speaking practice with useful vocabulary, pronunciation support and real-life communication scenarios. I am fluent in both English and Polish, currently learning Spanish while studying my Master's in Barcelona, and I have worked with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I first gained experience helping others with English as a senior prefect at school, where I supported younger students in both English and science. Since then, I have continued to help peers and family members prepare for exams and improve their speaking confidence. My approach is friendly, encouraging and practical — I want students to feel comfortable speaking without fear of mistakes. Whether you need English for everyday conversation, school support or general workplace communication, I will help you gradually build confidence and fluency in a relaxed way.
