About Nakul
Hi, I’m Nakul, currently studying Exercise Science and Physiotherapy at UNSW. Having recently completed the IB myself, I understand both the academic pressure/stress and the strategies needed to succeed at a high level.
I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex ideas and helping others understand them clearly. Throughout my IB journey, I supported peers with exam preparation and internal assessments, which strengthened my ability to explain concepts in a simple, structured way.
Having lived across three different countries, I’ve developed strong adaptability and empathy, allowing me to connect easily with a wide range of students and learning styles. I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping students grow in both confidence and academic ability.

As an IB 40 graduate with Band 7s in the subjects I tutor, I know firsthand what examiners are looking for and how to balance strong content knowledge with effective assessment technique.
The IB isn’t just about understanding the material, it’s about knowing how to approach exams and internal assessments strategically. Reaching 6s and 7s requires clear structures, strong analytical methods, and reliable systems for recalling and expressing ideas confidently under exam conditions. These are practical skills that can be taught, and I focus on showing students the clearest and most effective ways to maximise their marks.
My lessons are structured but relaxed, personalised to each student, and focused on clarity. I break down complex concepts step-by-step, work through targeted past IB questions, and teach strategies that make HL and SL assessments feel manageable and easy rather than overwhelming!
Sessions typically run for 60–90 minutes and are designed for IB students in Years 11–12. I can help with syllabus content, internal assessments, essay writing (especially for English and Psychology), and overall exam preparation. My aim isn’t just to improve grades, but to help students build confidence, strong study habits, and a sense of control over their learning.
