About Choong
Hi, I’m Jun Rong, a dedicated guitar teacher committed to helping students achieve their musical goals. I have over 12 years of guitar-playing experience, 7 years of teaching experience, and hold a Grade 8 Trinity Rock & Pop certification. I’ve performed at multiple university events and live gigs, which helps me bring real-world insight and professionalism into every lesson. I’ve taught more than 70 students across a wide range of ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each individual. Students often describe my lessons as supportive, motivating, and well-structured, highlighting my focus on building confidence and strong foundations. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, and I provide clear practice plans and exercises tailored to each student. I emphasize a supportive, encouraging, and fun learning environment, helping students build confidence, enjoy the process, and stay motivated.
