About Megan
Hi! I’m Megan, a Grade 12 student in British Columbia who tutors Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics online. I recently completed these courses with high marks, and I co-coordinate my school’s peer tutoring club. I explain concepts clearly, create targeted practice, and track progress with short written notes after each lesson. I’m punctual and patient, and I can tutor in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin depending on what the student is most comfortable with. I’m available on most weekday evenings and weekend afternoons.

Methodology
I use a diagnostic-first approach: quick assessment to find gaps, then teach with clear, step-by-step explanations and visual aids. I focus on concept understanding, worked examples, and active recall through practice problems and mini quizzes.
Typical lesson plan
• 10 min diagnostic and review of homework
• 25–35 min targeted instruction and worked examples
• 10–15 min guided practice and/or mini-quiz
• 5 min summary + homework and progress notes
What sets me apart
As a Grade 12 peer tutor, I explain ideas in a relatable way, recently studied the same courses, and create a low-pressure learning space. I adapt to each student’s pace and give concise written follow-ups.
Who lessons are for
• BC high school students (Grade 9–12) studying Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, or Physics, including mid terms and final exams prep. Lessons are online and flexible.
• Any grade 8 and under Math and Science in BC

- It was pretty good! Drake got into the video platform on time and even early. There weren't any technological problems, which was great! Instead of Chemistry, we actually looked over Physics, but that was no problem.Megan's response :

My rates include more than the lesson time itself. I prepare before each session by reviewing your class material and planning a lesson that fits your pace. I bring practice worksheets, review notes, and curated exam-style questions. After lessons, I can create custom study guides and short progress notes so you know what to focus on next.
Homework check-ins between lessons are included at no extra cost.
For in-person sessions, the rate also covers my travel and the cost of arranging a suitable study space.
Sessions start at 60 minutes, with the option to book 90 minutes during exam season.
A 30-minute first session is free so we can discuss goals and figure out what works best for you.
