About Benjamin
As an aspiring Aerospace Software Engineer I have always had an inquisitive mind, which has led me to discovering a plethora of ways to learn and retain new information and gain understanding of complex and varied concepts. When I first began to teach, over two years ago, I experienced the undeniable fulfilment that only sharing my insights and knowledge could bring, which intensified my love for the disciplines I was teaching (including Mathematics, Spanish and even Kickboxing) for ages ranging from four to sixteen, inspiring me to continue developing my versatility and techniques as a mentor, alongside my own proficiency in my passions. Now, I am predicted to have achieved all Grade 9s in my GCSEs, and so am confident that I will be able to support the learning of students throughout different levels in their education.

Personalised 1:1 lessons are tailored for the student’s specific learning style, typically lasting one hour, but this is variable as required. Lesson plans are made adaptable to ensure learning remains clear and targeted throughout, wherein a set of specific topics (as requested, or as identified through retrieval activities and exam practice) can be explored in-depth to develop understanding using clear explanations and demonstrations. All lessons can be summarised with concise memory techniques (for example, anchors, acronyms and mnemonics) to reinforce learning. These techniques are consistently being improved through continual development in my own revision, along with over two years of mentoring experience in numerous fields from Kickboxing, to Spanish, to Mathematics. These methods will certainly enable tutees to engage with their studies dynamically to guarantee success at both the KS2 and GCSE level.
