• When did you develop an interest in your subject and in private tutoring?

  I developed the interest of Mathematics, Economics and Business Studies in my early teenage years because I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I know do private tutoring because it's more focused on the students with less distraction compared to many students.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I am a professional qualified teacher accredited to teach Business Studies and Economics for Grade 10, 11 and 12 classes. Additional I hold three years experience teaching Mathematics, Economic Management Sciences, Life Skills and Social Sciences for Grade 5, 6 and 7. I enjoy numbers and summary writing as it shortens large text into small words.

• Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?

  My Business Studies and Economics teachers used a practical teaching technique that is effectively which I have adopted as well. I am open to many English, Business and Economics topics for discussion.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  A good turor listens and understanding, and puts themselves in their students. A patient and passionate tutor to students.

• Could you share an anecdote related to your subject or your student days?

  My lessons are done in one topic, where we set the lesson outcomes to the students needs at the same ensuring that the curriculum objectives are well defined. I realised as a student that a teacher with clearly aligned lessons was well understood.

• Did you face any difficulties at school or university?

  I had difficulties in Mathematics because of my phobia of numbers at University, however I faced my fear and consulted tutors to breakdown steps for me. Today I am glad that I can Mathematics for all Grades from Grade R to 9.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?

  I enjoy doing routine that involves creativity. I enjoy sharing ideas and debating using academically proven research. I enjoy analyzing and doing Economic research.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  I am a Superprof because I prepare thoroughly for my lessons, I read and gather information from multiple sources and diagrams help summarise concepts.
