About Matthew
My name is Matthew, and I am a dedicated high school student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others learn. I have experience in advanced math courses, including precalculus and calculus, and I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into simple steps. As both a student and an athlete, I have developed strong discipline, patience, and communication skills. I understand the challenges students face because I have recently worked through many of the same topics myself. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and reaching their academic goals.

I believe the best way to learn math is by understanding why a process works and the reasoning for each step. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into small parts and explaining them step by step. During a typical lesson, I review any questions the student has, teach the concept with examples and work through practice problems together.
I am currently an advanced math student who recently learned many of these topics myself, so I understand the common mistakes and challenges students face. My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students studying arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and related classes. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and become better learners.
