About Gil
Qualified teacher with DAEFLE diploma, i give private classes for French Language for 5 years in Brussels (+100 students taught). I have founded my own school for French Language Online (The Classic French Academy). I give individual lessons from complete beginners to advanced levels. Conversation classes are also given for you to improve your confidence and self-expression.

My methodology follows the recommandation of the Common European Framework for Languages (CECR). But it includes also a blend of other very helpful methods like the Silent Way method for pronunciation or a problem-solving method based on deduction when students find themselves stuck into a problem with French Language. My method is a very proactive one and i wait from my students to be proactive. The method is a step-by-step progression starting from pronunciation and the exploration of the french sound system. All skills for French Language are ignited at the very beginning. Listening, writing, reading, and speaking. Once you master pronunciation and all your skills for French are ignited, we build up your French and ground it everytime you make progress. The teaching of Grammar is very structured and systematic for students know what they know and know what they don't know yet. Because when we know that we know, even if this knowledge is very small at the beginning, confidence in your French territory arises. The build up of your confidence follows immediately the build up of your knowledge.
Finally, there is a lot of improvisation in my classes since the real material of the class - you - is an impredictable living being who can follow many different paths and ways to learn French Language. I'll guide you through this process of learning.
