About Mitchell
I have a strong passion for learning and helping others succeed. Throughout high school and college, I have frequently tutored friends and peers in STEM subjects, as I grasp concepts well and enjoy breaking them down for others. I earned the highest honors in STEM within my high school class, demonstrating my academic excellence and dedication to these subjects. In college, I have gained significant experience explaining complex topics to my peers, as well as assisting younger students in mastering difficult material. My adaptability, clarity, and strong communication skills allow me to present ideas and solutions in ways that make sense to different types of learners. What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to help students understand something they previously struggled with. My goal is not only to improve their knowledge but also to spark a deeper appreciation for learning, so they can confidently tackle new challenges even after our sessions!

As a Georgia Tech computer science student, I tailor my tutoring to fit each student’s learning style and goals. Whether following a structured curriculum or adapting to individual needs, I prioritize conceptual understanding and problem-solving to build strong foundational knowledge.
What sets me apart is my own academic journey—I have been highly successful in both high school and college while balancing multiple commitments. However, I also understand the struggle of not always grasping concepts right away. Before my later high school years, I had to put in significant study time to succeed. Over time, I developed a problem-solving approach that allows me to learn more efficiently and deeply, and I believe this insight is incredibly valuable for the average learner. I can help students not only understand concepts but also develop strategies to learn more effectively.
For struggling students, I take a guided approach, breaking down topics into minute details to explain why concepts work the way they do. For advanced learners, I adjust my pace, using more applicatory examples to deepen their understanding and prepare them for future challenges.
I combine visual aids and step-by-step breakdowns to clarify complex ideas, followed by real-world applications and practice problems to reinforce learning. My lessons are designed for middle school to college students, covering math, physics, and broader STEM topics. I can assist with homework, exams, and overall comprehension to help students excel academically and develop critical thinking skills.
