About Shriya
Hi, I’m Shriya. I am a second year student, studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I enjoy tutoring because I want to help students master the tricks and techniques required to succeed in exams, while actually thoroughly understanding and enjoying what they’re learning. I’m passionate about science and want to help make it feel less stressful and more rewarding. Outside of uni, I love music and play guitar in my free time :)

I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at Surrey offering GCSE tutoring in maths, English, biology, chemistry, and physics. I can go over content in detail, explain tricky topics, check homework or assignments, and guide you through exam questions so you really understand how to get the top marks. I focus a lot on building confidence and developing strong exam technique. In my experience, many students know the content but struggle to turn that into grades 8s or 9s — and that’s usually down to technique, which we’ll work on together. My lessons are flexible, relaxed, and tailored to how you learn best. I have 3 years’ experience mentoring secondary school students through private lessons of 40 minutes - 90 minutes depending on each students’ availability and needs.
