About Patrick
I hold a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Southampton and currently work as a Post-Doc at the University of Oxford, where I regularly use Biology, Chemistry and Maths in my role. I have previously attended the University of Portsmouth, where I obtained a Bachelors (BSc in Biology), and the University of Kent, where I obtained a Masters (MSc Infectious Diseases).
At GCSE, I achieved Grade 7 (equivalent to an A) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. At A-level, I obtained a B in both Biology and Maths, and a C in Chemistry.
I previously tutored GCSE students in 2022 prior to their examinations, but stopped tutoring whilst I finished my doctorate.
I am looking to do at maximum 6 hours of tutoring a week, which can be split between 1 - 3 students and I can travel to Sandford-on-Thames, Kennington, Littlemore, Blackbird Leys, Cowley, Headington, Marston, Iffley and Northway.

1st Lesson (Free 1hr) - In this first lesson, we'll review the syllabus together to identify your strengths and areas for improvement. We'll then discuss revision techniques that can help you build confidence in the topics you find more challenging. This will also be a chance to set your goals for our future sessions. Based on our discussion, I’ll create a personalised tutoring plan to track and support your progress.
In our ongoing lessons, we will review your school or college work, focus on any areas you find challenging, and work together to deepen your understanding of the subject. A typical session will involve working through exam mark schemes, developing strategies to remember key concepts, and practising how to write model answers.

Price Breakdown:
£22 p/h - GCSE
This is for in-person and online tutoring.
If travel is required, I will only charge a small fee of £5 to cover travel time, as I will be commuting by bicycle. (Travel within Sandford-on-Thames, Kennington, Littlemore, Blackbird Leys, Cowley, Headington, Marston, Iffley and Northway.
