About Chris
I have a first-class degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Warwick University, and worked as a statistician for 10 years before moving into tutoring.
My maths tuition is for any student studying Maths or Further Maths at KS3, GCSE or A-Level who’s looking to truly understand the maths they’re learning and gain the confidence to succeed in their maths exams.
Students describe me as patient, kind and calming, and I love the feeling of satisfaction I get when students get the hang of a topic and manage to do something they couldn’t do before.

My aim is to build your confidence in maths through understanding and practice. I’ll plan your sessions to cover topics you need help with or are studying in school.
I’ll develop your understanding by explaining the motivation behind the topic we’re covering, deriving any mathematical results you need, and going through 1-2 exam questions together. You’ll then get some exam questions to try and practice exercises to complete between sessions.
I hold sessions online, using BitPaper, or at your home.

Details
Prices quoted above are for 1-1 sessions. Prices per student for group sessions are as follows:
- 2 students: £27 online / £31 in person
- 3 students: £24 online / £27 in person
- 4 students: £21 online / £23 in person
- 5 students: £18 online / £19 in person
An additional £5 charge applies for sessions held before 8am or on Saturdays.
An additional £10 charge applies for sessions held on Sundays or bank holidays.
An additional travel charge may be applied for in-person sessions held outside of Milton Keynes. I'll discuss this with you if applicable at the time of booking.
Sessions are available at the following times:
- Monday-Friday: 6am - 8pm (max. 6 sessions / day)
- Saturdays: 8am - 2pm (max. 3 sessions / day)
- Sundays and bank holidays: 10am - 1pm (max. 2 sessions / day)
Your first session will be a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your studies, your aims, which areas you understand and which areas you need help with. If time permits, we will start going over one of the topics you have suggested to give you a flavour of a typical session.
