About Jess
I got an A in A-level Maths, also took Further Maths, and I'm starting a Mathematics degree at University of Sydney in February. I achieved 9s in all my GCSEs, I went from a 5 to a 9, largely by teaching myself, so I know what it takes to close a big gap and which methods actually work.
I love to explain maths in a way that is understandable to everyone and can adapt to students learning style.

First session: a short diagnostic using past-paper questions, so we know exactly which gaps are costing marks.
Each session after that: Fix one weak area. I explain it clearly, then worked examples focusing on the method.
Exam questions on that topic. We mark them against the real mark scheme, so they learn where method marks come from and stop throwing easy marks away.

Before working with Jess I was getting 5s and 6s and especially struggling with geometry, she explained it and went through past paper questions and their mark schemes which helped me understand exam technique made geometry become one of my strongest topics which helped me achieve a grade 8 in my GCSE. Highly recommend!
Jess helped me understand areas that I had not properly grasped. She was patient, calm, and articulate. I remember her explaining processes from another perspective, so the penny finally dropped. I recommend her highly; she has an in-depth knowledge of the subject and is able to transfer her information in small and incremental steps, consolidating as she does.
