About Sam
I am confident that everyone has the ability to argue well and use rhetoric, which is exactly what English is all about. We do it every day with friends and family, but rarely find ourselves able to do so in essays. I always try to harness this and encourage students to follow their instincts and develop their impulses; after all, that’s what English is all about - your reaction and your argument.

After reading samples of the students writing, I will encourage judgements, practice structure, and develop ideas in my lessons. I have tutored GCSE and A-Level students for a year at a school, and received a first in my English degree from Queen Mary - so I feel comfortable helping others and am used to adapting my techniques quickly to help my students.
