About Lewis
Ever since a young age, I've enjoyed maths, particularly studying its applications and use in everyday life. I soon began to realise how important maths is and how much it is used every day. Things such as problem solving, measuring and finances are daily activities for which we use maths and we don't even realise it. My love of maths makes such tasks easier and more enjoyable. Throughout school, I'd always help fellow pupils with their maths work and help them to understand elements of maths which they were struggling to grasp. Helping others to enhance their understanding gave me great enjoyment and self-satisfaction, feeding my passion even further. Alongside maths, my interests include aviation, politics and geography.

With 100 hours experience of tutoring students at Key State 2, GCSE and Scottish National 5, I can tailor lessons to suit the needs of the individual. Lessons will typically last one hour and will cover a topic of choice from the syllabus. Lessons will be mainly question-based as doing tasks is usually the best way to learn maths. I guide students to find solutions to unfamiliar problems using their previous knowledge of maths rather than show them solutions, helping them to build their understanding of maths.
