About Alisha
Back at GCSE, which feels like yesterday for me, I was a straight-9 GCSE student with a strong academic background and a genuine enjoyment of problem-solving, especially in maths and science. I’m aiming for Russell Group universities and plan to pursue law, where analytical thinking and clarity are essential. Tutoring is something I genuinely enjoy because I know how frustrating these subjects can feel when they’re not explained clearly, whether that be through interrupted teaching, lack of good quality teaching or special needs not being met. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind concepts, not just memorising methods. Seeing confidence grow alongside grades is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

I offer online and in-person GCSE core subject (Maths, English, and all three Sciences) lessons in focused one or two-hour sessions. My teaching style is clear, structured, and genuinely tailored - no generic, one-size-fits-all approach. Being quite young yet experienced lets me connect with the students, which usually helps them feel more comfortable during sessions, so they feel confident to speak up more when they are struggling with me.
I have worked with children with special needs before and am more than happy to discuss any tailored needs your child may have. I proactively identify weak spots, sharpen exam technique, and build real confidence. I have supported students to grade 9s before through measurable progress, and wish to help your child achieve the same!
