About Shangavi
I am a gap year student who has been giving private tutoring for GCSEs for the past 2 years. I achieved all A*s at GCSEs and 2A*s 2As at A-level and I am currently on a gap year with an unconditional place to study medicine at Barts and the London in September 2021. I have also achieved diplomas in Musical theatre singing and in dance, and achieved gold medal standard in LAMDA acting.

My teaching method varies depending on the student and tailored to the type of learner they are, to make the best use of the tutoring session. Usually, I would first explain a topic, fill any gaps and questions and then go through practice exam style questions. If school has given a topic list of the order in which they teach we would follow that and aim to finish before school does so that the student is ahead with the content. I would approach each topic with some starter exercises to act as consolidation of any topic they have already done in previous years that might link to the new topic being taught. I would also start off the next lesson with a couple questions from the topic taught in the previous week to keep things ticking over.
