• 1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

  I learned how to solve the Rubik's Cube when I was about 8 years old. My sister had given me a cube for my birthday and I was determined to learn to solve it and so I learned it in a few days on YouTube. When I was about 12 years old I decided to learn how to solve it faster and learned the more advanced CFOP method. I kept getting faster and quickly became obsessed with cubing!

• 2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

  The youtubers Jperm and Tingman really helped me learn how to solve the cube and get into cubing. Jperm's tutorials really laid down the foundation of CFOP for me and his resources really helped, and Tingman's videos helped me gain a passion for cubing.

• 3) What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

  Most people think you have to be really smart to solve the Rubik's Cube but that's just not the case. All you need is to be excited about it and determined to learn!

• 4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

  My advice is to find what you love about it and lean into it! If you like cubing think about what makes you like it. For example if you like to see how fast you can go, then think of each new record as a victory and help that keep you focused on your goals!

• 5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

  I love cubing and I love teaching people especially kids. It makes me feel so happy when I see it in my students' face when they finally solve the cube or learn a new trick. I feel joy when I help others figure out what they cannot figure out on their own. My family has always said I am a natural teacher and I just love to teach! I also love cubing and am obsessed with it and just can't stop!

• 6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

  At my first competition I got the fastest new competitor award and I am very proud of that. I was also proud when I got my personal best of 5.86 seconds! I am also proud of all the students I have helped and that I got to help them learn how to solve the Rubik's Cube!

• 7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

  I always continue to get surprised by my students. They learn so well and are all very smart! Sometimes my students learn a step or algorithm on the first try and that surprises me a lot!

• 8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

  I think the secret is to have a passion for whatever you teach and a passion for teaching. You need to be able to adjust your teaching method to and tailor it to each individual student because each student learns differently. You need to have patience and be enthusiastic and make your lessons fun!
