About Kristina
I have been playing Piano since I was a child, for 15 years. I started my journey learning Classical Piano and completing AMEB exams up to level 5, which then transitioned into learning Jazz & Blues Piano in my final years of school. During this time I completed Certificate III in the Music Industry which equipped me with the skills to perform improvisation and accompaniment as part of a band, which sparked a passion for all things smooth jazz, blues and performing! Being able to play & express myself on stage as part of a blues band was something truly incredible! I am qualified to teach both classical through my AMEB qualifications as well as more industry-led piano such as jazz, blues, pop, RnB (covers) from my practical experience in my VCE VET music performance certification CUA30920.

I have a calm, kind and fun approach to my tailored piano lessons, in order to make the learning process enjoyable and to ensure full expression and enjoyment of the beautiful songs you learn! I have a range of experience, having played piano for 15 years, from completing up to Level 5 AMEB Classical Piano exams, performing piano jazz & classical on-stage with other band-members, to teaching grades Prep-6 for 3+ years at a Primary School, where I had to cater to diverse needs of a wide range of Children throughout the year. I taught around 40 students per week which expanded from the initial 10 that I started with. I teach any age! From:
Childrens Beginner Piano - focusing on learning basic piano theory and note progression that will expand into more complex songs with time and practise.
Childrens Intermediate Piano - for students with some experience to learn more complex piano, either classical or pop
Adult Classical Piano - theory based learning that over time gives you the skillset to play & read piano effectively
Adult Jazz Piano - for more experienced piano players looking to learn improvisation & chords for full personal expression of a song
Adult Pop - focuses on learning chords with RH melody note progression of the song
I tailor lessons to each individual's needs and experience levels. Children's beginner lessons run for 15minutes and all others are 30minutes (or 15 if you would prefer, however this limits the learning completed each week).
