Throughout my academic career, I have learned the simple truth that every student is different. I understand that the mainstream school system is not tailored toward every student, leaving some students to think that they are not good enough. As a tutor, I am positive that any student can do anything as long as they are taught in a language they can understand. So as a student, you may not currently understand what you are being taught at school. BUT, THAT IS OKAY! My teaching methodology is simple and can help YOU specifically:
1. Get to know the student. Who are they? What are their passions, dreams, and goals? What are their hobbies?
2. Speak the student's language by framing lessons in a way they can understand. Essentially, this step involves incorporating details from step 1 into the course being taught to deepen the student's understanding.
3. Let the student become the teacher to see if they truly understand and can apply what they have learned. Recent studies have displayed compelling evidence that teaching is one of the most effective ways to learn.
