About Grace
Bonjour / Hallo - I'm a qualified teacher with a lot of tutoring experience and a passion for languages! I am an approachable, friendly and flexible tutor, and I would love to support you in gaining confidence in French and German at GCSE or A-Level. I care a lot about enabling you to make progress, whatever your starting point or individual needs and interests - my priority is your enjoyment in tutoring sessions and making sure all our lessons are accessible and engaging, so I make sure to tailor all tutoring sessions to what you need. In between sessions, I will set you tasks and mark set work to give you the feedback you need to progress.

I am a fully-qualified languages teacher with a commitment to inspiring young people to make progress in languages. I tutor French and German up to GCSE and A-Level. I graduated from Durham University with a High 2.1 Honours degree in Modern Languages and from Cambridge University with an MPhil degree in Education Research and a Secondary PGCE in Modern Languages. I have been tutoring students since 2014, both voluntarily and in a paid capacity. In addition to teaching French and German for three years in London secondary schools, I have tutored French and German (from KS3 up to KS5). I find tutoring young people extremely rewarding and would be delighted to support your child to achieve their full potential in languages. I believe strongly in an inclusive and compassionate approach to tutoring, which builds up students' confidence and self-efficacy and ultimately enables them to make progress, irrespective of their starting points, individual needs, and aspirations. My priority is ensuring a student-focused approach and adapting my teaching to my student's own needs and goals.

Perfect! Grace is an incredible tutor: she responded to my initial urgent request immediately and went out of her way to help. My daughter said Grace was a great communicator and teacher and super nice.

I worked with Grace at a secondary school in East London. She is an extremely dedicated teacher, with outstanding French language skills.
