About Omar
Omar is a Fully Qualified Mathematics Teacher with a PGCE in Mathematics (Secondary Education & QTS - Qualified Teacher Status) and a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering, who has also completed a subject knowledge enhancement course (SKE) within Mathematics. He did this as he thoroughly enjoys staying on top of all the developments within the world of teaching whilst tutoring Mathematics across GCSE and A level. He has worked at a number of secondary schools as a Mathematics Teacher where he has consistently helped pupils to reach A grades at the GCSE level. Moreover, his passion for helping pupils and adults to realise their academic potential whilst ensuring top grades are obtained, was clear for all to see. Omar takes it upon himself to consistently look for updates as to the best techniques to deploy within effective teaching strategies that he tailors to each individual tutee, as he is heavily focused on delivering lessons that are on the cutting edge of the GCSE and A level Mathematics tuition industry.
Omar has a natural ability to build rapport with all walks of life and as such uses this talent with his tutees in an efficient and effective manner. He combines this with a ‘lazer’ like focus on helping pupils give answers in accordance with the grade boundary of the syllabus they are targeting. This methodology followed up with his meticulous lesson planning skills and bespoke teaching practices, means he is very good at pinpointing the areas required for development; alongside enhancing strengths.
Omar has a good focus on getting the best out of each student whilst being able to help pupils get enjoyment out of independent learning. Coupled with what can be described as an almanac of resources that he is consistently updating, he develops and delivers lessons that are engaging, fun and yet productive.
Omar made this possible even with the most disengaged tutees that before meeting him displayed a large lack of motivation and energy. Once tutees meet Omar, they are within just three lessons building momentum and growing in proficiency as an able student.
