About Naomi
I am a fully qualified maths teacher with 3 years' experience of teaching key stage 3 and 4 within an English secondary school. I pride myself on getting results through creating strong professional relationships with students. My ethos centres on having a friendly, approachable and relaxed teaching style, with a firm belief in "there's no such thing as silly question". I have training in maths anxiety and how to overcome this very common fear. Alongside my classroom experience I have tutored small groups and individuals, both in person and online. This has given me the opportunity to create lessons based on the needs of each student and really focus on specific areas that require improvement. Through my experience as a classroom teacher I have a firm understanding of common misconceptions. I also have experience in teaching a wide range of abilities across both higher and foundation GCSE tiers. In 2022 I was an examiner for Pearson Edexcel GCSE series and I therefore have knowledge and insight into exam technique and marking criteria.
