About Sarah
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with several years of classroom and tutoring experience, both in Ireland and internationally. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, supporting different abilities, learning styles, and individual needs. This has allowed me to develop a flexible, patient, and student-centered approach to teaching.
I am passionate about helping children build confidence in their abilities while developing a solid understanding of key skills in English and Math. I understand that every child learns differently, and I take pride in adapting my teaching to ensure each student feels supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have provided one-to-one and small group tutoring, helping students improve their academic performance, prepare for assessments, and develop positive attitudes towards learning. I am committed to creating a calm, encouraging, and structured learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and grow in confidence.
As a teacher, I value clear communication, consistency, and professionalism. I work closely with students (and parents where appropriate) to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements along the way.

My approach to tutoring is centred around building confidence, engagement, and a genuine understanding of the material. As a qualified primary school teacher with international classroom experience, I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs, learning style, and pace of every student. I aim to create a supportive and positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing independence in their learning.
I use a combination of structured teaching, interactive activities, and real-life examples to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. For students who need additional support, I break concepts down into manageable steps and use repetition and reinforcement to build strong foundations. I also incorporate strategies to support focus and organisation, which can be especially helpful for students who may struggle with attention or confidence.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing enough time to review previous learning, introduce new concepts, and practise skills. However, lesson length can be adapted depending on the age and needs of the student.
My tutoring is aimed at primary school students, supporting subjects such as English and Maths. I have experience working with a wide range of abilities, including students who need extra support as well as those looking to extend their learning.
Overall, my goal is to help each student feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress while developing skills that will support them both inside and outside the classroom.
