About Sidney james
I want to teach because language isn't just a school subject; it's a key to independence. When you teach someone English, you aren't just helping them pass an exam—you are giving them the tools to express their personality, advocate for themselves, and navigate a world that would otherwise feel closed off to them
There is nothing more rewarding than the moment the 'lightbulb' goes on. When a student goes from having zero words to suddenly being able to tell me how they feel, what they need, or what they like—even in just three-word sentences—that transformation is incredibly powerful to be a part of

I use Total Physical Response—using body language, gestures, and facial expressions to demonstrate verbs (e.g., walk, write, listen) without needing to translate.
