About Ben
I have been tutoring for over five years, to students ages 11-18+, covering KS3, GCSE, A Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics, as well as first year undergraduate Physics and university applications. For over a year I have been full time. I have references available on request. I am extremely passionate about mathematics and physics and love communicating my knowledge and passion to students. I took Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Levels, achieving an A* in each. In 2020 I achieved a 1st in my Physics MSci (I specialised in Theoretical Physics) at Cambridge University.

Generally, I want to help you gain an intuitive understanding of the subject (as opposed to memorising how to do specific problems) as I strongly believe that this is the best way to boost your grade at any level. However, I am extremely flexible in my teaching methods depending on the student and the student's wishes. I will evaluate what I think you need help with and tailor the lessons accordingly. Maths can seem overwhelming and unintelligible, but I strongly believe that anyone can do it, and do it well - you just need to learn how to structure your thinking. If you are struggling on a concept or a problem, it is often the case that the foundations are not completely there. Unlike many subjects, it is impossible to progress to new material without having a complete grasp of the old material. I can help you build up your maths understanding from the bottom and work towards ever more challenging problems.

Ben provided excellent A level maths tutoring help for my son.
It was all online on zoom which worked well and it was easy for my son to arrange times of lessons, with Ben being very flexible.
