Having taken both A level mathematics and further mathematics last summer all of the content is still fresh in my mind and any gaps of content due to exam boards will no doubt have been covered in my degree.

Helping my peers and at times struggling with certain areas myself has shown me that when tutoring, I feel it is important to take a more friendly approach rather than more of a lecture style. This way pupils feel more comfortable when disclosing areas they are struggling with and whether or not they feel they need going over things more than once.
I am flexible in my method of teaching, if a pupil would prefer to focus on one particular area I am able to explain this in depth and provide numerous questions on this particular area looking at it in as much different contexts as possible. However, should a pupil prefer to cover all areas in a such a way that is simply adequate enough for their exam board then I am also happy to take this approach.
