About Batoul
As a teacher. I come prepared and excited to teach. I continue to maintain a clear communication with the students, parents and my colleague because I know communication is crucial to keep others informed about lesson plans and any concerns that may arise. It’s rewarding when I hear my newcomers students communicate and using words that I taught them. I start my lessons with check to give my students the space to share something fun they did. This way i’m able to connect with them and they feel comfortable. I also love when my students engage in a discussion because it’s a key element in developing their language and critical thinking. One time, the lesson was about buildings and airplanes and while I was asking questions I noticed that the students were engaged and they liked sharing their experiences and what they know about the topic. It was rewarding to me watching them get excited and talking to each back and forth about the topic despite their young age and needs.

I work with bilingual students and especially newcomers who want to learn the phonics and social skills. I’m a bilingual and I know what bilingual students experience because I went through the same obstacles. I love working with young students and different grade levels and background. I tutored adults newcomers who want to learn English.
