About Lyric
I’m passionate about helping pianists use their skills in real, meaningful settings. With an Associate of Music in Piano Skills and over 8 years of teaching, I’ve guided students preparing for worship, theater, and special events. I believe that piano is both a technical craft and a form of service. My teaching style is personal, supportive, and focused on growth. We’ll balance theory and creativity to strengthen your playing. I focus on techniques for accompanying singers, reading lead sheets, and developing smooth transitions. My lessons also include improvisation and arranging for live performance. Each student receives feedback tailored to their strengths. I love helping musicians grow in confidence and stage presence. My sessions are structured, but always encouraging. Whether you’re leading a congregation or performing at a wedding, I’ll help you sound your best. Let’s make music that inspires others and reflects your unique sound.

My teaching method blends musical analysis with emotional connection. I believe classical piano becomes truly powerful when we understand both its structure and spirit. We begin each piece by studying its form and historical context. This helps students uncover the composer’s intent and stylistic details. Lessons include detailed attention to touch, tone, and dynamic control. I support The Composer who seeks creative exploration and The Therapy Seeker who plays for healing and peace. Together, we build technical precision that serves expressive purpose. My approach encourages self-reflection and awareness through sound. You’ll learn how phrasing transforms a piece from mechanical to meaningful. I also emphasize balance between discipline and imagination. Each student develops at their own pace with thoughtful guidance. Through this process, you’ll bring classical masterworks to life with honesty and emotion.
