About John
I am a PhD student in mathematics, about to graduate from Stony Brook University, NY.
I have loved working with students at all levels increasingly over the past 10 years. The majority of my experience has been teaching university maths to undergraduates in engineering and medical tracks, though I have also taught variously at primary school and secondary school levels.

My method is simply to learn what my student understands already, and then explain what comes next in terms of that knowledge. We all know that it is easiest and most empowering to learn using analogies and language we are already familiar with!
