About Shiva
Hello! I'm Shiva, an MSc Business Analytics student at the University of Leicester and a graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. I am an honest, hardworking, and passionate individual who believes that education can transform lives and open doors to new opportunities.
Throughout my academic journey, I have enjoyed helping classmates and junior students understand challenging concepts in mathematics, science, reasoning, and problem-solving. I have been recognised through several academic and extracurricular achievements, including the SR Sankaran Super Student's Lecture Trophy, a Vedic Maths Gold Medal, Ambedkar Scholar recognition, participation in science fairs, youth parliament competitions, robotics camps, and quizzes.
I have a strong interest in logical reasoning, aptitude problems, and brain teasers, which helps me make learning analytical and engaging. Beyond academics, I enjoy exploring new technologies, following sports, listening to music, and watching movies, web series, and anime.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop logical thinking, and inspire a genuine interest in learning. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching their full potential.

My teaching approach is centred around understanding each student as an individual and creating a personalised learning plan that helps them progress with confidence.
I begin by assessing the student's current level, identifying both their favourite subjects and the topics they find most challenging. This helps me understand their strengths, areas for improvement, learning style, and academic goals. I believe that understanding the student is just as important as understanding the subject.
Based on this assessment, I develop a structured learning plan that gradually increases in difficulty, ensuring a strong foundation before moving on to more advanced concepts. My lessons focus on clear explanations, logical thinking, and step-by-step learning to make challenging topics easier to understand.
Alongside subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on developing reasoning, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. I also help students improve their academic language, enabling them to express their ideas clearly, explain their thinking effectively, and answer questions with confidence.
As an MSc Business Analytics student at the University of Leicester with a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, I have experience supporting classmates and junior students in mathematics, science, and academic development. My aim is not only to help students achieve better results but also to develop independent learning habits and confidence that will benefit them throughout their education.
Lessons are available for students from Primary, KS3, and GCSE levels, with a focus on Maths, Science, problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and study skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building knowledge, and reaching their full potential.
