About Victoria
I'm a young woman in my early 20s who has gone through tumultuous times in school, despite earning pretty high grades. I think it's very brave to ask for help when you need it; not many people are able to do that! I remember having a tutor myself in the 6th grade and it made the world of a difference for me. It is of utmost important to me that my student improves significantly in the subject. After all, I am a tutor - but I always remind them that I'm also their biggest cheerleader!

One of my favorite things about tutoring is understanding the student's learning styles as well as adapting to their best study methods. I don't believe everyone learns the same; sometimes we have to tailor lessons to make it easier for us to retain the material. Due to my undergraduate education in Psychology, I am a huge fan of positive reinforcement. I like to give students the space to make mistakes comfortably and learn from them. I think anybody can become great at a subject if they are encouraged along the way. I also try my best to keep the student engaged by connecting real-life events to the lesson plan. I find that my methods have been successful and it is both rewarding to me and the student!
